Brooke Scelza is Professor of Anthropology at UCLA. She is interested in understanding how social support networks operate in rural areas, and in determining what factors contribute to men's and women's reproductive decision-making.

JACOB SHEEHAMA

Jacob Sheehama is Deputy Associate Dean of the University of Namibia Medical School and has degrees in Microbiology and Public Health. He has a longstanding interest in rural health and has done research on infection prevention and control and TB immunology.

SEAN PRALL

Sean Prall is an Assistant Professor in Anthropology at University of Missouri. His background is in immunology and endocrinology and his research focuses on how physiological and social factors combine to affect health and well-being.

john jakurama

John Jakurama is our lead research assistant and translator.
He has been working with us since 2011.
John has a strong interest in Himba culture
and heritage as well as extensive knowledge
of the local geography and ecology.
